Cristian Stellini is taking on an interim role at Tottenham after Antonio Conte was sacked last month. That means Spurs are looking for a third coach within 18 months, when Conte arrives to replace Nuno Espirito Santo in November 2021.

Tottenham identify coach Vincent Kompany as the number 1 target
Conte's reign at Tottenham came to an end after an interview criticizing the players and club leadership following a disastrous draw against Southampton. And now Tottenham are aiming to appoint Vincent Kompany to the hot seat at the end of the season.
Kompany has led Burnley to promotion to the Premier League. The Clarits have only lost 2 matches this season. They had 14 points more than the team behind when the season only had 6 rounds left.
According to The Sun, Kompany's performances at Burnley have convinced Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. Kompany's success at Turf Moor made Levy impressed.
Levy also felt overwhelmed with the way Arsenal performed under Arteta, an assistant to Pep Guardiola. Kompany spent 3 years playing as a captain under Pep. That's why Spurs believe Kompany can bring a breath of fresh air to the club.
Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Brendan Rodgers, Arne Slot and Mauricio Pochettino are also being targeted by Tottenham. But Kompany has the advantage, having built an impressive attacking team this season.
Kompany is also open to joining Spurs because Burnley doesn't have a good enough budget for next season's relegation battle. Coming to Tottenham will help Kompany have a better experience when leading a top club.
